I was a competitive runner growing up and competed on scholarship at Montana State University. I got burned out in college and took a long break from running. During my hiatus, I realized just how important running is to me, that it is part of who I am, and I was born to do it. In 2010, at the age of 35, I decided I wanted to get back in shape and complete a marathon in under 3 hours. I was ready to be back and give everything I have to see how far I can go in the sport. Three and a half years and 6 marathons later, I am now a two-time Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier and have a 2:42 PR.
