Why BASE Performance? After signing up for my first Ironman I did some serious consideration of the tools needed to support my training and racing during the 12 month build up to race day. I have never used a supplement or multi-vitamin, but realize that as a vegetarian endurance athlete, I need to take extra precaution to ensure I provide my body with the needed nutrients to enable performance and recovery.
