Top 7 of 2017

Here is our list of our favorite 7 highlights from 2017 in the order upon which they occurred

1. Launch of BASE Designs

Early in the year, we launched our BASE Designs apparel line. We not only manufactured the 2017 BASE team kits, we also outfitted 9 other teams/charities as well. We are expecting to do around 50 teams in 2018!!

2. BASE Camp Colorado

38 amazing athletes came to Boulder, CO in late April to take part in some high altitude training. We had sunshine, we had snow. Lots of snow! I think camp was a major highlight of the year for all those who attended. Don't miss out in 2018!

3. Launch of BASE Real Bars

This project was 11 months in the making, but worth the wait! Mom and kid approved, these bars are delicious.

"Ok so I finally got my hands on the Base bars samples from my last order. And Oh My!!! I could eat all of them at one time! I'm afraid of buying several boxes because I may eat them all instead of using for training! Lol!" - Keith Shireman

4. Hydro now comes in 5 great tasting flavors

Our new and improved BASE Hydro formula did not disappoint! No more clumping or grittiness, and no artificial dyes, and in 4 new flavors. Hydro has now become the number one selling product. We can't keep it on the shelves.

5. BASE Blind Athlete Kyle Coon Races Boulder 70.3 With Matt Miller

I think many of us were very inspired to see BASE athlete Kyle Coon, guided by Matt Miller, not only race Boulder 70.3, but lay down a smoking fast time of 5:11!! Kyle raced in total darkness. Together, Kyle and Matt won first place in the PC division.

6. BASE athlete Andrew Starykowicz Dominates Ironman Louisville

Comeback 2017 was the motto for Andrew Starykowicz this year. After being hit and drug by a truck while riding his bike, he sustained major life threatening injuries including a broken leg. Many thought he would never return to the sport. He proved everybody wrong with a third place finish at Ironman Wisconsin, and closed out the year winning Ironman Louisville!

7. BASE Wins Overall Tri Club Championships At Ironman Arizona

This was a great way to close out the 2017 season. We couldn't have won this award without all of your hard work and dedication to the sport, so thank YOU!!
