Matthew Curbeau

Matthew is a 25 year old age grouper in his second full season of triathlon. At his first 70.3 he met BASE founder, Chris Lieto, at the awards ceremony. This solidified his passion and interest in the sport of Triathlon.

So cool to be able to meet and chat with someone of that caliber. Literally the personal I idolized in this sport, it was a great introduction to this sport for me.

Since then, Matthew raced Ironman Lake Placid and Ironman Florida. He looks forward to continued improvement in 2011 with an early season focus on half's and shorter races and then ending the year with another run at Ironman Florida.

With all the training that it takes to be an Ironman athlete I am definitely in the camp that believes nutrition is the 4th disipline. I take pride in my daily as well as my race/training nutrition.
