Science:

Amino Acids are the chemical units or “building blocks” of the body that make up proteins.  Protein substances make up the muscles, tendons, organs, glands, nails and hair.  Growth, repair and maintenance of all cells are dependent upon them.  Next to water, protein makes up the greatest part of our body weight.  Amino acids that must be obtained from diet are called “essential amino acids”.  The amino acids that the body can manufacture from other sources area called “non-essential amino acids.”

Individual amino acids connect to make proteins.  The ten specific essential amino acids that cannot be produced by the human body must be obtained from food or supplementation. Humans can produce 10 of the 20 amino acids. The others must be supplied in the food. Failure to obtain enough of even 1 of the 10 essential amino acids, those that we cannot make, results in degradation of the body's proteins—muscle and so forth—to obtain the one amino acid that is needed. Unlike fat and starch, the human body does not store excess amino acids for later use—the amino acids must be ingested every day. The non-essential amino acids are beneficial for replacing exercise-cannibalized amino acids from muscle mass.

The chemical properties of the amino acids of proteins determine the biological activity of the protein. Proteins not only catalyze all (or most) of the reactions in living cells, they control virtually all cellular processes. In addition, proteins contain within their amino acid sequences the necessary information to determine how that protein will fold into a three dimensional structure, and the stability of the resulting structure. The field of protein folding and stability has been a critically important area of research for years, and remains today one of the great unsolved mysteries. It is, however, being actively investigated, and progress is being made every day.

Amino acids are used in every cell of your body and are used to build the proteins you need to survive. All organisms need some proteins, whether they are used in muscles or as simple structures in the cell membrane. Even though all organisms have differences, they still have one thing in common, the need for basic chemical building blocks. Amino acids have a two-carbon bond. One of the carbons is part of a group called the carboxyl group. A carboxyl group is made up of one carbon (C), two oxygens (O), and one hydrogen atom (H). The carboxyl group is acidic. The second carbon is a part of the amino group. Amino means there is an NH2 group bonded to the carbon atom. In the image you see a "+" and a "-." Those positive and negative signs are there because, in amino acids, one hydrogen atom moves to the other end of the molecule. An extra "H" gives you a positive charge.

Thousands of combinations of twenty amino acids are used to make all of the proteins in your body. Amino acids bond together to make long chains and those long chains of amino acids are also called proteins. The side groups are what make each amino acid different from the others. Of the 20 used to make proteins, there are three groups. The three groups are ionic, polar and non-polar. These names refer to the way the side groups (sometimes called "R" groups) interact with the environment.

The bottom line:  Amino acids are the basic structural building units of proteins.  Growth, repair and maintenance of all cells are dependent upon amino acids.

Base Amino™ has the combination of all 9 Essential Amino Acids with a high amount of L-Leucine, and the addition of an important “conditional” essential amino acid, Tyrosine, totaling 10 amino acids both EAA and BCAA.  The body cannot produce these essential aminos, they must be provided in your diet in abundance.

These amino acids play a significant role if not a critical role in muscle metabolism, especially during exercise.  Base Amino can have a profound affect on your performance, recovery, and results from training.

It has also been demonstrated with increasing study validation that the branched-chain amino acid, L-Leucine, helps regulate protein synthesis in muscle after exercise and acts as a glucose substrate for energy production.

When taking Base Amino regularly during exercise you will have higher levels of muscle recovery, and you will reduce the damage to your muscle which is caused by strenuous exercise.  When used regularly it has also shown to increase the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood which aids in higher levels of athletic performance.  You will also see increased mental performance and focus which helps in training and racing

Studies show that many amino acids are not just building blocks of proteins, but are the activators of MPS(Muscle Protein Synthesis)  The amino acids activate inside the muscle cells which triggers a dramatic increase which synthesizes new proteins.  When you drink Base Amino it stimulates a powerful anabolic response.

When taking these amino acids they go directly to work in your muscle.  When consumed they bypass extraction by the spleen, gut, and degradation by the liver and are brought straight to the muscles where they activate MPS.

The central protein that initiates/activates protein synthesis in muscle cells to step up the synthesis of new protein is called mTOR.   Scientists believe that this protein features prominently in the activation of MPS.  The mTOR complex is found mainly in muscle as opposed to other cells and its major role is to transfer stimuli into cellular growth.  Amino acids act directly on mTOR to trigger a dramatic increase in protein synthesis.

Base Amino is a source of energy, particularly during exercise.

Base Amino will provide energy to fuel intense workouts and will also act as the building blocks for muscle repair and growth.

Base Amino has a direct influence on exercise performance. The ingredients in Base Amino can help the prevention of central nervous system (CNS) fatigue. as well as significantly decrease perceived exertion and/or increase endurance performance.

All athletes can strategically supplement to help prevent CNS fatigue and boost performance during intense activity.

We recommend taking one serving within the hour prior to workout and another 1-2 serving taken throughout your workout.  We have found this protocol very effective and have found it helps delay fatigue towards the end of the session.

Scientific evidence shows that Base Amino can provide a number of benefits ranging from delaying central nervous system fatigue to reducing muscle damage and sparing valuable muscle fuel, but also accelerating recovery and boosting immunity after intense exercise.  Whatever your exercise may be Base Amino is a perfect and a worthwhile addition to your supplementation arsenal.

Base Amino is also a great supplement to enhance fat loss during exercise.

It has also shown to help initiate weight loss through hypothalamic, mTOR genomic up-regulation.

Amino acids are the building blocks of life. They are responsible for building cells and repairing tissue, forming antibodies, creating DNA and RNA, and carrying oxygen throughout the body. Your body can produce the twelve non-essential amino acids on its own, but the eight essential amino acids must be supplied through your diet or supplementation; your body cannot produce them.  Three of the eight essential amino acids are called ‘The Branched Chain Amino Acids’.  They have particular importance to tissue maintenance, recovery and growth. The Branched Chain Amino Acids, made up of L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine, must be present for the molecular growth and development of body tissues, such as muscle.

During the first few moments of intense exercise, the body enters a highly catabolic state. It begins signaling for enzymes whose primary purpose is to chew up energy-rich muscle tissue for its essential amino acids. This process is known as Exercise Induced Catabolism (EIC).During this process, glycogen stores are being rapidly depleted, and the liver must synthesize glucose through a conversion of L-Alanine. This tells your body to stop muscle protein synthesis. A proper balance of essential amino acids will help stop this catabolic process and is necessary for a high degree of net protein utilization, which in turn leads to increases in muscle size and strength.

Base Amino™ also contains Rhaponticum Carthamoides, 20-hydroxyecdysterone, which has tested at >99% pure on independent HPLC evaluations.  This unique phytosteroid hormone, gene-switch inducer has shown to help in glucose stabilization.

After years of research and testing we have come up with the perfect powder product that will help you get more out of your workout, perform better, recover better, and burn fat.
you will perform stronger and faster and recover from you workouts and be ready for the next one.

There is nothing like Base Amino on the market and nothing that can compare with the ratio of aminos and the added proprietary blends.

Rhaponticum Carthamoides (standardized to 99% 20-Hydroxyecdysone) will increase your work capacity, lung capacity, O2 pulse max, and VO2 max.  It will help deliver more oxygen into your cells!  All this basically means you will decrease recovery time, maximize performance, increase stamina, increase endurance, and increase energy.  All this you can see the results in as little as 5 days.  This is all supported by studies conducted by B.G. Fadeev in Russia, and in 1986 by B. Ya Smetanin.

Other studies show by using this supplement people increased their lean muscle tissue by 6-7% and a 10% reduction in Fat!

Rhodiola Rosea root extract has a wide range of adaptogenic functions. An adaptogen is a substance (typically an herb) that helps a body to adapt to stressful situations. That is, it produces a normalizing action on the body, increasing resistance to adverse influences. The adaptogenic effects of Rhodiola have been demonstrated in numerous studies, resulting in increased resistance to the effects of stress, and improvements in associated anxiety and moodiness.  One way that Rhodiola performs these remarkable functions is by improving the neurological mechanisms of dealing with stress. This includes stimulating the release of the mood-modulating neurotransmitters norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin. Rhodiola has also been shown to support modest increases in beta-endorphins and improves mood.

Supplementation with Rhodiola may be expected to promote positive support for mild mood changes, and provide relief from everyday stress and anxiety. Furthermore, the synergistic balance of all eight essential Rhodiola biomers will provide maximum benefits. L-Leucine comprises about eight percent of the total amino acid count in your body's protein structures; it is the forth most concentrated amino acid in skeletal muscle tissue.

As one of the three BCAA's, L-Leucine is essential to your basic health. It has athletic applications. L-Leucine has many beneficial effects on sports performance. It helps preserve lean muscle tissue, it supplies the body with energy when under stress (i.e. when engaging in athletic activity), it preserves muscle glycogen (glucose stored in muscle tissue used to power muscular contraction), it maintains nitrogen balance, and it enhances thinking abilities that can decline as physical activity becomes more intense. The effects of L-Leucine in the diet are profound. As the strongest of the BCAA's, L-Leucine is what's known as a "limiting nutrient" - meaning that you must have enough L-Leucine in proportion to other amino acids in order for your body to make use of what you eat. Simply: If you suffer from an L-Leucine deficiency, your body will not be able to make use of the protein that you give it - no matter how much protein you consume. And, unless you have enough L-Luecine, the money you spend on quality food and dietary supplements will be wasted. To make the most of what you eat, you need two parts L-Leucine and two parts L-Valine for every one part of L-Isoleucine. You'll fail to get optimal results if you fall short of meeting this exact ratio. Taurine generally is the second most abundant amino acid in muscle, in several metabolic conditions, some muscle biologists like Eric Serrano, M.D., have determined that it, not glutamine, is the most voluminous amino represented in striated type 2 muscle fiber! L-Aspartic Acid is good for helping the body get rid of harmful ammonia. When ammonia enters the bodies circulatory system, it acts like a highly toxic substance which can harm the central nervous system. Recent studies show that Aspartic Acid may increase resistance to fatigue and increase endurance.  Even though Aspartic Acid is considered a non-essential amino acid, it does play a major role in metabolism. During the citric acid cycle Aspartic acid aids in the construction and synthesis of other amino acids and biochemicals. L-Valine is an amino acid and is not only an essential amino acid but is also a branched-chain amino acid found in high concentration in the muscles. The other two essential BCAA's are L-Valine and L-Isoleucine.  L-Valine can not be made by the body, and must be acquired through food or dietary supplements.  It has a stimulating effect and is needed for muscle metabolism, repair and growth of tissue and maintaining the nitrogen balance in the body.  Since it is a branched-chain amino acid, it can be used as an energy source in the muscles, and in doing so preserves the use of glucose. L-Isoleucine is an amino acid that is best known for its ability to increase endurance and help heal and repair muscle tissue. This amino acid is especially important to serious athletes and body builders because its primary function in the body is to boost energy and help the body recover from strenuous physical activity.  L-Isoleucine is a branched-chain amino acid (BCAA). There are three branched-chain amino acids in the body, isoleucine, valine, and leucine, and all of them help promote muscle recovery after exercise. Isoleucine is actually broken down for energy within the muscle tissue. L-Lysine is a necessary building block for all protein in the body. L-Lysine plays a major role in calcium absorption; building muscle protein; and the body's production of hormones, enzymes, and antibodies.  L-Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means your body cannot manufacture it. It must be obtained through the diet or by supplementation. Lysine is one of the most well known amino acids and is an essential component of all proteins. Lysine supplementation has been shown to increase the absorption of calcium and it may reduce its excretion. Some researchers believe that lysine may be shown to have a role maintaining excellent bone health. Lysine works with other essential amino acids to maintain growth, lean body mass, and the body's store of nitrogen. L-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that is needed for normal functioning of the central nervous system. The body needs phenylalanine to make epinephrine, dopamine, and norepinephrine, three neurotransmitters that basically control the way you perceive and interact with your environment. Phenylalanine supplementation may help mood, decrease appetite and increase alertness; it may also improve memory and concentration.
